I went to Callen-Lorde today. Its a health clinic in NYC. They have great services for those who are transgender. I had to see one of their social workers. Its a requirement for those who want to begin HRT, for example me. The session only lasted about twenty minutes :p. Now I await my October 28th appointment. By the end of this month I should be on hormones. Is it not freaky that I begin transition in the month where Halloween rains supreme. I love Halloween. ^_^

I used to loathe Halloween. Now I'm ambivalent to it. Congrats on getting on track for a doctor approved HRT regimen.
I always loved Halloween, back to my own childhood. Taking a vacation day when my boys were small to take them was a treat when I could get one; the last few years I took them so I could see my grandkids in costume.
This year I won't have to do that as I "retired" in June. Since I haven't begun a new career yet, I'll be home...

I didn't realize that you were from NY. I live in Westchester (Yonkers). We should get together sometime. Callen-Lorde is a good place. I'm do to go back soon. I've got to look into seeing if they have a Cardiologist on staff as I've got a heart condition. One I was going to before I really don't feel comfy with anymore. Anyways. Take care hun.

A weekly drop-in group for those assigned male at birth who now identify as trans-femme, trans-women, trans-female, cross-dresser, drag queen, transsexual, femme queen, exploring, and so forth to explore and discuss their feelings and concerns about gender, trans-identities and their histories.
Wednesdays, 7:30-9pm. Oct 15 to Dec 17.
Drop-in. No registration required. $5 suggested donation, but no one turned away.
Please come. I go every Wednesday if I can. Hopefully we can meet. ^_^
